The name “Udara” originates from the combination of “UDA” and “Dara,” symbolising inclusivity in creating designs for both men and women. The word also reflects the brand’s identity — drawing inspiration from air transportation such as airplanes, aircraft, the Air Force and aviation elements, which are thoughtfully incorporated into selected collections.

Udara Batik was founded in November 2018 by Malaysian celebrity and actor, Kapten Bersekutu (PA) Amai Kamarudin.
Growth Journey
In its early years, Udara Batik built its presence through active participation in street festivals and official events such as Jom Heboh, MyEvent and Fiesta Raya, while also selling through online platforms. This grassroots approach enabled the brand to connect directly with customers and establish strong community support.
With growing demand and brand recognition, Udara Batik expanded into shopping malls and later established physical boutique spaces, marking key milestones in strengthening its retail presence and customer experience.
